Be True to You Counselling
Here for you, offering online and Telephone counselling
Counselling can mean something different for each person, but is generally something someone accesses for support through difficult times, seeking understanding of thoughts and feelings or to make changes to certain aspects of life.
I provide a warm, caring, confidential, non-judgemental, safe and secure space for you to bring anything you want to explore. This could relate to the past, present or future and include anything from relationships, loss, stress, anxiety, trauma, depression and other life challenges.
I am here to listen to you, support and facilitate you. From this you may gain a better understanding of yourself, thoughts and feelings, enabling you to cope better and become more self aware.
Get to Know Me
My name is Ria and I am a registered member of the professional body 'The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy'.

I have been working in a variety of settings since 2017 providing therapy to young adults and adults. This has included local charities, NHS, residential homes and college.

My Person Centred training was integrative, so I work from different approaches, tailoring the therapy to your needs, placing importance on our relationship and trust between us.
I truly care for all of my clients, and feel it is a privilege to be a part of your life on a short or longer term basis.
About Therapy
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) definition of counselling is that "Counselling occurs when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life or loss of a sense of direction and purpose. It is always at the request of the client and no one can properly be 'sent' for counselling."

I work person-centred with you, which puts you at the centre of the work the whole time, with the focus being on the quality of our client and counsellor relationship.
